Reflections on Soil retreat
Natalie will be hosting women's retreat at the John Paul II Catholic Worker Farm, where the theme will be Reflections on Soil. Drawing from both scripture and from what regenerative agriculture reveals about healthy soil in nature, we'll reflect on the soil of our lives and the fruit the Lord has borne and is bearing in our hearts and lives.
This will take place on Saturday, May 23rd from 9AM-4PM.
The schedule for the day will be as follows:
9am: Arrival / Take time to enjoy coffee and snacks, and converse with those you know and don't know!
9:30am: Tour of the grounds
10am: Gather in the orchard for a short talk and reflection on soil.
10:45-12pm: Silent prayer and recreation. During this time, you'll have the freedom to roam the grounds and spend time in silence with the Lord. We encourage you to bring a journal for writing, sketching, calligraphy, watercolor... any creative means that aides your communion with the Lord.
12-12:45pm: Lunch. At Noon, we'll gather to pray the Angelus. There will be spaces indoors and outdoors to eat, and those who wish to maintain silence during this time will be free to do so.
12:45pm: Gather back in the orchard for an introduction to small group topics, then break out into groups.
1:30-1:45pm: Short break
1:50pm: Reconvene, break into groups for work
2-3:30pm: Work groups
3:30pm: Final thoughts
There is no cost to attend. Donations for coffee and snacks will be accepted but not expected! We ask that each participant bring her own lunch.
